Deportivo G⦕⩙⦖'s supporters rose to their feet, but Edgard Sedeni was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wilson Amorim breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Portugal fans' excitement grew in the 17th match minute when Portugal's Viriato Moura looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. Viriato Moura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bengi Price having to interfere. Saverio Sindo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 47thth minute tested the skills of Wilson Amorim when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Saverio Sindo was the one to do the kick off. In the 56th minute, Viriato Moura made a precise shot to the right of Bengi Price. Deportivo G⦕⩙⦖'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Viriato Moura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bengi Price having to interfere. Portugal's Felipinho Amorim was substituted for Felipe Barreto. An unexpectedly hard shot by Saverio Sindo in the 77th minute of play forced Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 91stth minute of the game Bartolomeu Dias who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Deportivo G⦕⩙⦖'s Bengi Price was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Portugal's Caetano Moreira got a free kick in the 95th minute. The Deportivo G⦕⩙⦖ fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Portugal were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
