Kim Lekberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 8 minutes, Melquiades Belo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Atletico Los Andes and the Belgium players grew even worse after the yellow card. 14 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Los Andes's goal looked a bit too open when Lenny Clocheret came free, but Tipi Calderon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edward Vanderstraeten might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tipi Calderon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edward Vanderstraeten ran back to his position shaking his head. 15 minutes into the match, Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tipi Calderon narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A sloppy throw-in by Orlando Inautzi in the 21st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Belgium's Floris Claeys. Club Atletico Los Andes's Tipi Calderon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 28th minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Orlando Inautzi in the 32nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Belgium's Floris Claeys. After 32 minutes, Floris Claeys mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Belgium and the Club Atletico Los Andes players grew even worse after the yellow card. Tipi Calderon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 35th minute of the match. Tipi Calderon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yves Dervaux, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tipi Calderon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yves Dervaux, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Casper Claes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kim Lekberg went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Casper Claes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kim Lekberg's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. After 56 played minutes Club Atletico Los Andes got a freekick which was hit by Fabio Peli. Guillaume Bonte hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Casper Claes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kim Lekberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. In the 62nd minute Kim Lekberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Casper Claes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 64 minutes into the match, Kim Lekberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Casper Claes. Belgium's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kim Lekberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. When Kim Lekberg came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Club Atletico Los Andes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kim Lekberg couldn't finish the play. Club Atletico Los Andes made a substitution. Eusebio Cordarrel replaced Tomáš Lamačka. In the 76th minute, Kaj Skager ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Casper Claes was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. With a little luck, Club Atletico Los Andes's Tipi Calderon got control of the ball when Edward Vanderstraeten tried to sneak it across the goal line. Casper Claes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Orlando Inautzi went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. In the 85th minute Edward Vanderstraeten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tipi Calderon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Club Atletico Los Andes's Orlando Inautzi got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tipi Calderon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edward Vanderstraeten, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. With a little luck, Club Atletico Los Andes's Tipi Calderon got control of the ball when Edward Vanderstraeten tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Yves Dervaux got free with Tipi Calderon in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Club Atletico Los Andes support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
