Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Gijsbert ter Kruimer got the match started through his kick off. The supporters of Netherlands booed when Adrogue FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Javi Pinola didn't get a good kick on the ball. 高文乐 recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Adrogue FC's Gavino Afonso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Eikelkamp in the 11th minute of play. In the 19th minute, Wim Wilmes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gavino Afonso was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Marcelo Gallardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Arnout Reekers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gavino Afonso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 29th minute of the match. After 31 minutes of play, Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gavino Afonso was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 33rd minute, Egbert Nijveldt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 36th minute, Wim Wilmes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ismael Abalos got free with Arnout Reekers in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 46th minute of the match Adrogue FC got a corner. Netherlands's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Nestor Chucho ran over to the corner to take the kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gust Ennemans during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 46th minute, one of Netherlands:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Netherlands. Arnout Reekers had in the 47thth minute some difficulties stopping Nestor Chucho's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his right side, but he still managed to hold the ball Nestor Chucho scored 2-2 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arnout Reekers, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marcelo Gallardo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 高文乐 took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arnout Reekers. Arnout Reekers dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Gavino Afonso made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when David Eikelkamp sent off a good shot on target. After 62 played minutes Adrogue FC got a freekick which was hit by Javi Pinola. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Ismael Abalos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Adrogue FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ismael Abalos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arnout Reekers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by 高文乐 in the 68th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 70th minute of play forced Adrogue FC's goalkeeper Gavino Afonso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Pablo Angel in the 73rd minute of play. Gavino Afonso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 76th minute of the match. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 高文乐, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Wim Wilmes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gavino Afonso having to interfere. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan Pablo Angel in the 85th minute of the match. In the 88th minute Marcelo Gallardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 88 minutes of play, Adrogue FC's Marcelo Gallardo made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arnout Reekers was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 95th minute, Wim Wilmes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Netherlands fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-3. Gustaaf Groeneveldt hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. 99 minutes into the match, Juan Pablo Angel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arnout Reekers. Netherlands's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Juan Pablo Angel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-3. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Adrogue FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Netherlands had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
