The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Sostene Vitulli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In a very dangerous position, a player in Masters United F.C. fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 6th minute. Penalty! In the 7th minute there was a penalty for Italy. Sigfrido Auletta stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Enrique Bologna. 0-1. In the 12th minute Hans-Martin Istad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavio Vittori saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Florencio Rafe in the 14th minute of play forced Italy's goalkeeper Flavio Vittori to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Masters United F.C.'s Enrique Bologna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 20th minute of play. Saverio Teofilio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Flavio Vittori made a huge save. Enrique Bologna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 29th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 29th minute of play forced Masters United F.C.'s goalkeeper Enrique Bologna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Enrique Bologna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. In the 36th match minute, Masters United F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celso Hotz to maneuver through the defense. When Hans-Martin Istad came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Masters United F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hans-Martin Istad couldn't finish the play. 43 minutes into the game, Celso Hotz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Masters United F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Italy the free kick. Celso Hotz kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. In the 45th match minute, Masters United F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anselmo Ted to maneuver through the defense. Enrique Bologna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zaccheo Andolina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Florencio Rafe made a kick off. 56 minutes into the game, Zaccheo Andolina cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Enrique Bologna was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Italy's Siricio Liotta quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Anselmo Ted, made in the 63rd minute of the game. Italy were awarded a corner in the 65th minute after Masters United F.C.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Sigfrido Auletta took the corner. Italy's Flavio Vittori played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florencio Rafe in the 66th minute of play. When Herminio Frantzes fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Masters United F.C.'s protests and gave Herminio Frantzes a yellow card for diving instead. Herminio Frantzes hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Siricio Liotta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Enrique Bologna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 75 minutes into the match, Masters United F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Zaccheo Andolina came free, but Enrique Bologna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 78th minute Hans-Martin Istad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavio Vittori saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 79 played minutes Masters United F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Anselmo Ted. The audience was convinced that Hans-Martin Istad's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Flavio Vittori was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. In the 88th minute Zaccheo Andolina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enrique Bologna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hans-Martin Istad in the 90th minute of play forced Italy's goalkeeper Flavio Vittori to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Italy's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
