In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Hungary were awarded a corner in the 25th minute after Magic is Back's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Antal Valentin took the corner. Magic is Back's Ruben Sánchez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Major Barna in the 26th minute of play. Major Barna struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Ruben Sánchez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hungary. Ruben Sánchez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antal Valentin in the 33rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Magic is Back's Miguel Nicolau got a free kick in the 34th minute. After 35 played minutes, Hungary's Antal Valentin shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ruben Sánchez came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Hungary reached it. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Martin Palermo took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Fodor Daniel to make any attempt to save it. A collision led to Hungary getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Bakos Endre hit a great ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Magic is Back's Rodolfo Arruabarrena was substituted for Marcelo Trobbiani. The wind increased when Antal Valentin made the kick off in the second half. Major Barna recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Antal Valentin's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ruben Sánchez firmly grabbed it by the left post. Antal Valentin received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ruben Sánchez came out and tried to block the shot, but Antal Valentin slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 54th minute. Magic is Back made a substitution. Roberto Mouzo replaced Roland Schiavi. Bakos Endre got a throw-in 59 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Balazs Lajos. 61 minutes into the match, Antal Valentin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ruben Sánchez. Magic is Back's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Antal Valentin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. If Antal Valentin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Osvaldo Potente in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fodor Daniel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fodor Daniel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudio Marangoni, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Magic is Back getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Valentin Barco hit a great ball. Claudio Marangoni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fodor Daniel having to interfere. In the 96th minute Miguel Nicolau suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Antal Valentin charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Antal Valentin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 97th match minute, Hungary was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antal Valentin to maneuver through the defense. When the final whistle sounded Hungary left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Magic is Back.
