Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Gerd Müller kicked off to start the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gerd Müller in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wilson Amorim saved Portugal from getting behind. Estrela Solitária's Benjamim Dante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viriato Moura in the 4th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dudu Meira in the 6th minute of play forced Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 9 minutes, Gerd Müller made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Portugal's Wilson Amorim tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Chicão Amorim in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wilson Amorim saved Portugal from getting behind. Wilson Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Luiz Ferreira in the 14th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Estrela Solitária's Wilson Amorim threw himself towards the right post 15 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Dudu Meira, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 18 minutes of play, Portugal's Viriato Moura made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benjamim Dante was left in no man's land by his defense there! 23 minutes into the match, Felipe Barreto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benjamim Dante. Estrela Solitária's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Felipe Barreto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. 27 minutes into the match, Chicão Amorim notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Portugal's Wilson Amorim. Wilson Amorim was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 30th minute Chicão Amorim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wilson Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dudu Meira in the 32nd minute of the match. Viriato Moura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamim Dante having to interfere. Gerd Müllers short, quick shot in the 37thth minute got Wilson Amorim to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 40th match minute, Estrela Solitária was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Naldo Rossi to maneuver through the defense. In the 46th minute Gerd Müller shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Viriato Moura was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Gerd Müller managed to get in a good position for a shot. Estrela Solitária's supporters rose to their feet, but Gerd Müller was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wilson Amorim breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Portugal getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Viriato Moura hit a great ball. Wilson Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerd Müller, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. If Chicão Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Caetano Moreira hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Portugal defense, Gerd Müller kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wilson Amorim. The Portugal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilson Amorim should have stopped the shot. 64 minutes into the match, Portugal's goal looked a bit too open when Dudu Meira came free, but Wilson Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Portugal's Wilson Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerd Müller in the 65th minute of play. Wilson Amorim stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gerd Müller's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. When Gerd Müller came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Estrela Solitária fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gerd Müller couldn't finish the play. Portugal's Bartolomeu Dias was substituted for Viriato Moura. Wilson Amorim didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pedro Luiz Ferreira went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. Gerd Müller sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After taking down the ball on Estrela Solitária's corner Chicão Amorim fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Wilson Amorim quite easily take care of the ball. Portugal's Wilson Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chicão Amorim in the 84th minute of play.
