Grêmio FBPA's Nestor Leão managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Daniel Hurschler in the 12 minute of the game. Pipis Karapatakis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zachariasz Moryl having to interfere. After 19 minutes FC Rägi's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Alberto Estevon who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Grêmio FBPA's Alberto Estevon to fire away a dangerous shot which Zachariasz Moryl despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Zachariasz Moryl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pipis Karapatakis in the 22nd minute of play. In the 26th minute Pipis Karapatakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zachariasz Moryl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 27 minutes into the game, Pipis Karapatakis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Zachariasz Moryl was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. FC Rägi's Zachariasz Moryl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filiph Biörling in the 30th minute of play. In the 32nd minute of the match Grêmio FBPA got a corner. FC Rägi's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Alberto Estevon ran over to the corner to take the kick. Zachariasz Moryl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pipis Karapatakis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pipis Karapatakis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 40th minute, Pipis Karapatakis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The throw-in from Tassilo Kost in the 42nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Grêmio FBPA's Nestor Leão. If Pipis Karapatakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Grêmio FBPA were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

FC Rägi made a substitution. Wilbur Charette replaced Timothy Ostermann. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ademar Rocha to strike the kick off in the second half. Grêmio FBPA's Filiph Biörling quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Claude Dupasquier, made in the 53rd minute of the game. 59 minutes into the game, Claude Dupasquier threw the ball into play from the sideline. Grêmio FBPA's Nestor Leão quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 60 minutes into the match, FC Rägi's goal looked a bit too open when Pipis Karapatakis came free, but Zachariasz Moryl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
