In the 15th match minute, Club Atlético Atlanta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Santos Oskitz to maneuver through the defense. In the 21st minute, Hemming Glykær made a precise shot to the right of Pankracy Glogowski. Club Atlético Atlanta's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 26th minute Marcos Berdoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ted Kobbeltvedt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A hard shot 30 in the game by Şevket Çağa from a close distance when the talented Ted Kobbeltvedt managed to make a qualified save. FC Drik's players were relieved. Pankracy Glogowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gunvald Mitens in the 32nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, FC Drik's Willy Reitoft got a free kick in the 33rd minute. 34 minutes into the game, Paolo Caradaro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Atlético Atlanta's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Drik the free kick. After 39 played minutes FC Drik got a freekick which was hit by Gunvald Mitens. The crowd rose to their feet as Şevket Çağa kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ted Kobbeltvedt. That made the score 1-1 in the 44 minute of play. The supporters of FC Drik booed when Club Atlético Atlanta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rosendo Cutberto didn't get a good kick on the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ernst Barskov to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Şevket Çağa in the 51st minute of play forced FC Drik's goalkeeper Ted Kobbeltvedt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, FC Drik's Pankracy Glogowski threw himself towards the right post 59 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Hemming Glykær, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Ted Kobbeltvedt stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Şevket Çağa's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. FC Drik's Ted Kobbeltvedt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Şevket Çağa in the 67th minute of play. Emil Chwalkiewicz took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 71st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ted Kobbeltvedt. FC Drik's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Lucas Drevsgård's late challenge caught a Club Atlético Atlanta's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lucas Drevsgård helped the player get up and apologised. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Şevket Çağa in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ted Kobbeltvedt saved FC Drik from getting behind. Ted Kobbeltvedt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Şevket Çağa in the 75th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Şevket Çağa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ted Kobbeltvedt was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. Ted Kobbeltvedt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Şevket Çağa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
