Ernst Barskov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Pedro Carvalho fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Paraná Clube Brasil's protests and gave Pedro Carvalho a yellow card for diving instead. Pedro Carvalho hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Biagio Furino made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gunvald Mitens in the 32nd minute. 33 minutes into the match, Paraná Clube Brasil's goal looked a bit too open when Ernst Barskov came free, but Biagio Furino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Paraná Clube Brasil's Francisco Gaúcho got a free kick in the 34th minute. In the 47th minute, Arlindo Silveira made a precise shot to the right of Ted Kobbeltvedt. FC Drik's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

If Serginho Munhoz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ted Kobbeltvedt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arlindo Silveira, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. In the 62nd minute, Giovani Batista got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gunvald Mitens blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Biagio Furino having to make a save. The supporters of FC Drik booed when Paraná Clube Brasil was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aílton Linares didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 77 played minutes, FC Drik's Willy Reitoft shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Biagio Furino came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Drik reached it. 78 minutes into the match, FC Drik's goal looked a bit too open when Giovani Batista came free, but Ted Kobbeltvedt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ted Kobbeltvedt made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arlindo Silveira in the 84th minute. In the 85thth minute of the game Ernst Barskov who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Paraná Clube Brasil's Biagio Furino was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ted Kobbeltvedt made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Arlindo Silveira sent off a good shot on target. Aílton Linares charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aílton Linares the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The FC Drik fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Paraná Clube Brasil were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
