Matro Perramon made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Giovani Batista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 20 minutes into the match, Paraná Clube Brasil's Faustão Goiano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Matro Perramon narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Arlindo Silveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Matro Perramon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The throw-in from Karlo Gavilanes in the 29th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Paraná Clube Brasil's Serginho Munhoz. Matro Perramon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Giovani Batista in the 37th minute. In the 40th minute Paraná Clube Brasil were awarded a corner. Zé Pedro Prestes went to the cornerflag to take it. Paraná Clube Brasil's Zé Pedro Prestes was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Matro Perramon in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Arlindo Silveira struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Matro Perramon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paraná Clube Brasil. A collision led to Universitario getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Erasto Tella hit a great ball. Garcia Gorostieta's late challenge caught a Paraná Clube Brasil's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Garcia Gorostieta helped the player get up and apologised. In the 43rd minute, Garcia Gorostieta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Universitario's Matro Perramon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Faustão Goiano in the 46th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 48 minutes, Giovani Batista took a quick shot and it went in 4-0 without a chance for Matro Perramon to make any attempt to save it. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

If Giovani Batista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Serginho Munhoz struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Karlo Gavilanes was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 74 minutes into the match. 74 minutes into the game, one of Universitario:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Paraná Clube Brasil's Giovani Batista got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 83rd minute, Arlindo Silveira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Matro Perramon was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Faustão Goiano in the 93rd minute of play forced Universitario's goalkeeper Matro Perramon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Universitario's Matro Perramon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arlindo Silveira in the 94th minute of play. Paraná Clube Brasil's Biagio Furino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Paraná Clube Brasil from getting a goal against them. In the 100th minute, Arlindo Silveira made a precise shot to the right of Matro Perramon. Universitario's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 9-0.
