Pipis Karapatakis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 7 minutes, Pipis Karapatakis took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Maurino Serena to make any attempt to save it. Jardel Sanches made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Belo Alvarez in the 13th minute of play. Grêmio FBPA's attentive Kaká Rot managed to snatch the ball when Emmanuel Otero made a throw-in in the 14th minute of the game. Pipis Karapatakis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Maurino Serena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jardel Sanches stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Erlantz Bermejo's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Erlantz Bermejo in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jardel Sanches prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Pipis Karapatakis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Maurino Serena stood somewhat misplaced when Pipis Karapatakis came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 23 minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nereo Acosta during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Nereo Acosta hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. After 31 minutes of play A.D. Alcorcón's Nereo Acosta was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Nereo Acosta kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Erlantz Bermejo made in the 37th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Grêmio FBPA's Nestor Leão. Maurino Serena made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Pipis Karapatakis sent off a good shot on target. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Belo Alvarez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Pipis Karapatakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 60 minutes into the match, Grêmio FBPA's Pipis Karapatakis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Maurino Serena narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pipis Karapatakis in the 61st minute of play forced A.D. Alcorcón's goalkeeper Maurino Serena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 63 minutes A.D. Alcorcón's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Alberto Estevon who took care of the corner kick. In the 66th minute Pipis Karapatakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maurino Serena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pipis Karapatakis in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Maurino Serena saved A.D. Alcorcón from getting behind. After 77th play minutes Pipis Karapatakis shot 4-0, a short shot which went by Maurino Serena and just under the crossbar into goal. If Pipis Karapatakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Grêmio FBPA's Eriberto Berger was substituted for Nestor Leão. Jardel Sanches was out of position in the 88 minute of play, and Leroy Antunez capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Leroy Antunez really showed his touch with that goal: 4-1. A.D. Alcorcón's Maurino Serena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eriberto Berger in the 91st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eriberto Berger in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Maurino Serena saved A.D. Alcorcón from getting behind.
