Pipis Karapatakis might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ted Kobbeltvedt. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pipis Karapatakis ran back to his position shaking his head. Pipis Karapatakis's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 9thth minute, Ted Kobbeltvedt skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Pipis Karapatakis might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ted Kobbeltvedt. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pipis Karapatakis ran back to his position shaking his head. Ernst Barskov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 26 played minutes FC Drik got a freekick which was hit by Lucas Drevsgård. Pipis Karapatakis was extremely unlucky when he, in the 28th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. If Pipis Karapatakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ted Kobbeltvedt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pipis Karapatakis, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Gunvald Mitens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A throw-in in the 36th minute of the game was made by Lucas Drevsgård with Gunvald Mitens as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. After a defensive mix-up in FC Drik's zone, Deivid de Sena stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ted Kobbeltvedt came out of the goal and Deivid de Sena tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Ernst Barskov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ted Kobbeltvedt stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pipis Karapatakis's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ernst Barskov to make the kick off. Pipis Karapatakis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Ted Kobbeltvedt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pipis Karapatakis in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ted Kobbeltvedt prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Grêmio FBPA's zone, Gunvald Mitens stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jardel Sanches came out of the goal and Gunvald Mitens tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ted Kobbeltvedt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pipis Karapatakis in the 59th minute of play. In the 60th match minute, FC Drik was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucas Drevsgård to maneuver through the defense. In the 61stth minute of the game Pipis Karapatakis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Drik's Ted Kobbeltvedt was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Pipis Karapatakis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Ted Kobbeltvedt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 65th match minute, FC Drik was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucas Drevsgård to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Grêmio FBPA booed when FC Drik was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hemming Glykær didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ted Kobbeltvedt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pipis Karapatakis in the 77th minute of play. Pipis Karapatakis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ted Kobbeltvedt read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. In the 81st match minute, FC Drik was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Devlet İşcan to maneuver through the defense. After 84 played minutes FC Drik got a freekick which was hit by Lucas Drevsgård. FC Drik's Ted Kobbeltvedt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pipis Karapatakis in the 85th minute of play. 87 minutes into the match, FC Drik's goal looked a bit too open when Pipis Karapatakis came free, but Ted Kobbeltvedt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Pipis Karapatakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pipis Karapatakis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Ted Kobbeltvedt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
