The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Club Atlético Atlanta's Ciro Ferdinand seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Ciro Ferdinand the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Club Atlético Atlanta protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Ciro Ferdinand had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 4th minute, one of Club Atlético Atlanta:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Club Atlético Atlanta. The referee gave CD Municipal a penalty, 6 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Enrique Cassaretto, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Club Atlético Atlanta's Pankracy Glogowski. 0-1. Enrique Cassaretto might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pankracy Glogowski. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Enrique Cassaretto ran back to his position shaking his head. Enrique Cassaretto took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pankracy Glogowski. Pankracy Glogowski dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 13 minutes into the match, Enrique Cassaretto notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Club Atlético Atlanta's Pankracy Glogowski. Pankracy Glogowski was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 18 minutes into the match, CD Municipal's goalkeeper George Forsyth had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eustaquio Jaizki. If Enrique Cassaretto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 25th minute Enrique Cassaretto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pankracy Glogowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enrique Cassaretto in the 26th minute of play forced Club Atlético Atlanta's goalkeeper Pankracy Glogowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 90th minute CD Municipal were awarded a corner. Martino Armona went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Martino Armona got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Pankracy Glogowski quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 92nd minute of the match, Oalo Dean got a very nice opportunity to score, but Pankracy Glogowski was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 95th minute Ryota Miyagi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pankracy Glogowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Club Atlético Atlanta getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Paolo Caradaro hit a great ball. The CD Municipal players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
