But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frank Sachs couldn't finish the play. In the 28th minute of the match Germany got a corner. Real Ayuntamiento CF's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Frank Sachs ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Linus Schwerner managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Pedro Cucao sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Blažej Blazejowski's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Tommy Kahn firmly grabbed it by the left post. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Frank Sachs to strike the kick off in the second half. After 66 minutes of play, Real Ayuntamiento CF's Pedro Cucao made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tommy Kahn was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Germany's zone, Dariusz Szpakowski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tommy Kahn came out of the goal and Dariusz Szpakowski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Cucao in the 71st minute of the match. After some careless play in the Germany defense, Damazy Tomaszewski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tommy Kahn. The Germany fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tommy Kahn should have stopped the shot. In the 75th minute Damazy Tomaszewski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 78th minute, Pedro Cucao made a precise shot to the right of Tommy Kahn. Germany's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. When Real Ayuntamiento CF's Blažej Blazejowski in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
