Cazimir Angelescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Zaccheo Andolina struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Cazimir Angelescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Italy. Sigfrido Auletta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Cazimir Angelescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Laurențiu Pora might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Flavio Vittori. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Laurențiu Pora ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Italy's Flavio Vittori got control of the ball when Laurențiu Pora tried to sneak it across the goal line. Italy were awarded a corner in the 35th minute after Hayalim Kedoshim's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Sigfrido Auletta took the corner. If Garfield Sau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.

Laurențiu Pora fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flavio Vittori having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sigfrido Auletta got free with Cazimir Angelescu in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 56 played minutes Italy got a freekick which was hit by Sigfrido Auletta. Hayalim Kedoshim's Artemio Varas was substituted for Mustafa Yaşar Recai. Hayalim Kedoshim's Vladimiro Lauro was substituted for Laurențiu Pora. After 58 played minutes Italy got a freekick which was hit by Sigfrido Auletta. Italy's Eliseo Cutri quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Carlos Puyol, made in the 64th minute of the game. In the 66th minute, Carlos Puyol hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cazimir Angelescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Porziano Marchitelli in the 68th minute. Deodato Magliozzi hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Flavio Vittori showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erhan Alp, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. The throw-in from Carlos Puyol in the 73rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Italy's Sostene Vitulli. After a defensive mix-up in Hayalim Kedoshim's zone, Zaccheo Andolina stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cazimir Angelescu came out of the goal and Zaccheo Andolina tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 79th minute, Vladimiro Lauro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hayalim Kedoshim fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. With his leg Cazimir Angelescu managed to avoid a goal in the 85thth minute, when Italy's Zaccheo Andolina fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Zaccheo Andolina fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Italy's protests and gave Zaccheo Andolina a yellow card for diving instead. In the 90th match minute, Italy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zaccheo Andolina to maneuver through the defense. Italy's Sansone Vanella was substituted for Gianpaolo Mascari. Italy's Adriano Curto was substituted for Zaccheo Andolina. In the 92nd minute, Zaccheo Andolina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
