Andrés Casado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. 22 minutes into the match, Aragorn's goal looked a bit too open when Lars Meesters came free, but Andrés Casado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Aragorn's Elian Müller slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Arnout Reekers. That made the score 1-1 after 26 minutes of play. 28 minutes into the match, Gijsbert ter Kruimer had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Andrés Casado. Aragorn's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gijsbert ter Kruimer was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Lars Meesters might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Andrés Casado. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lars Meesters ran back to his position shaking his head. Gustaaf Groeneveldt blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Andrés Casado having to make a save. Elian Müller struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Arnout Reekers didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aragorn. In the 40th minute Wim Wilmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrés Casado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Andrés Casado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 40th minute of the match. 42 minutes had been played when some careless play by Aragorn's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was slow to take the kick. During this time Netherlands's players had a chance to rest. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kees Mooiweer during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Kees Mooiweer kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. If Gijsbert ter Kruimer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andrea Bottone, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fortunato Pazienza in the 92nd minute of the match. When the match was over Netherlands could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Aragorn throughout the match.
