Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gijsbert ter Kruimer started the match with the kick off. A collision led to Nabucodonosor E.C. FPRMZ getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Flavinho de Lara hit a great ball. Pedro Augusto Neto came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt. But to his dismay, Gustaaf Groeneveldt quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Donato Tesone could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Arnout Reekers made a huge save. 10 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fernando Barros. Nabucodonosor E.C. FPRMZ's Pedro Augusto Neto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wim Wilmes in the 16th minute of play. Gustaaf Groeneveldt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pedro Augusto Neto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 26th minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, Gustaaf Groeneveldt had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedro Augusto Neto. Nabucodonosor E.C. FPRMZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gustaaf Groeneveldt was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. When Gijsbert ter Kruimer came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Netherlands fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gijsbert ter Kruimer couldn't finish the play. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramon Raymundo in the 30th minute of play. In the 34th minute, Fernando Barros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 39th minute, Nabucodonosor E.C. FPRMZ's Amado Tello dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. Pedro Augusto Neto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. In the 46th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After 55 minutes Nabucodonosor E.C. FPRMZ's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gijsbert ter Kruimer who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer to fire away a dangerous shot which Pedro Augusto Neto despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. A collision led to Nabucodonosor E.C. FPRMZ getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Flavinho de Lara hit a great ball. Gijsbert ter Kruimer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Bas Tuitert kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Donato Tesone in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arnout Reekers saved Netherlands from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wim Wilmes got free with Pedro Augusto Neto in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Netherlands's Mathijn Doctor got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amado Tello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Gustaaf Groeneveldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erik Cerezo in the 89th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Netherlands's Pedro Augusto Neto threw himself towards the right post 90 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from David Eikelkamp, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 91st minute, one of Nabucodonosor E.C. FPRMZ:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Nabucodonosor E.C. FPRMZ. Bas Tuitert hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Despite being the better team, Netherlands failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
