In the 7th minute Elian Müller shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aragorn's Andrés Casado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wim Wilmes in the 14th minute of play. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elian Müller in the 19th minute of the match. Andrés Casado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Netherlands's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 22nd minute. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Netherlands from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the Netherlands defense, Tony Stark kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arnout Reekers. The Netherlands fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arnout Reekers should have stopped the shot. In the 32nd minute of the match Netherlands got a corner. Aragorn's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Gijsbert ter Kruimer got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Andrés Casado quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 33rd minute, Aragorn's Ovidio Cuarto dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fortunato Pazienza got free with Arnout Reekers in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 37th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Netherlands fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Arnout Reekers made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Fortunato Pazienza sent off a good shot on target. Mathijn Doctor hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Arnout Reekers made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elian Müller in the 47th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

52 minutes into the match, Gustaaf Groeneveldt had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Andrés Casado. Aragorn's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gustaaf Groeneveldt was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. In the 56th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrés Casado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 61st minute got a chance for a shot 61st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Aragorn's goalie prevented a goal. Wade Wilson hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. In the 68th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Wim Wilmes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fedele Moretti in the 79th minute of play. Gijsbert ter Kruimer received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Andrés Casado came out and tried to block the shot, but Gijsbert ter Kruimer slotted it home off the left post making it 2-3 in the 84th minute. The supporters of Netherlands booed when Aragorn was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Feliks Orszak didn't get a good kick on the ball. Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 90th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Aragorn. Aragorn's Andrés Casado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Aragorn from getting a goal against them. Feliks Orszak kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. In the 94th minute of the match Gijsbert ter Kruimer sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Andrés Casado skillfully saved the ball. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ovidio Cuarto in the 95th minute of play. The Netherlands supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Netherlands would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
