A collision led to Nabucodonosor E.C. FPRMZ getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. FPRMZ's Donato Tesone was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Arnout Reekers in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The Netherlands fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arnout Reekers should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedro Augusto Neto saved Nabucodonosor E.C. FPRMZ from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Nabucodonosor E.C. FPRMZ's Flavinho de Lara got a free kick in the 67th minute. In the 72nd minute of the match, Gustaaf Groeneveldt got a very nice opportunity to score, but Pedro Augusto Neto was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Barros in the 74th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
