Umberto Cunha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donato Christobal in the 9th minute of play. Pégasus F. C.'s Xande Sharkin was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 10th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Mohammad Shamsah fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Umberto Cunha having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Abdul Mohsen Al Saleh during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 16th minute, Abdul Mohsen Al Saleh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Xande Sharkin took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aguirre Verde. Aguirre Verde dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Gilberto Soeiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aguirre Verde read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. In the 24th minute Lu Xing Song shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aguirre Verde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aguirre Verde made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Xande Sharkin sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 29 minutes, Donato Christobal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. DUBAI Palm Jumeirah's supporters crossed their fingers, but Donato Christobal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Mohammad Shamsah had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aguirre Verde took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xande Sharkin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Lu Xing Song's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aguirre Verde was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. After 36 minutes, Lu Xing Song made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. DUBAI Palm Jumeirah's Aguirre Verde tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Lu Xing Song took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aguirre Verde. Aguirre Verde dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. After 43 played minutes Pégasus F. C. got a freekick which was hit by Xande Sharkin. In the 46th minute, Pégasus F. C.'s Xande Sharkin dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 6-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 6-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After having played for 53 minutes, Hílton Albuquerque managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pégasus F. C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Hílton Albuquerque was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lu Xing Song scored 7-0 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aguirre Verde, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Aguirre Verde made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilberto Soeiro in the 61st minute of play. 63 minutes into the game, Pégasus F. C.'s Xande Sharkin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aguirre Verde made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-0. Pégasus F. C. made a substitution. Bebeto Medeiros replaced Paulo José Barral. Pégasus F. C.'s Qiao Ang Le was substituted for Hílton Albuquerque. In the 69th minute Lu Xing Song shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aguirre Verde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aguirre Verde showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xande Sharkin in the 75th minute of the match. Dwight Schrute fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aguirre Verde having to interfere. After some careless play in the DUBAI Palm Jumeirah defense, Qiao Ang Le kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aguirre Verde. The DUBAI Palm Jumeirah fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aguirre Verde should have stopped the shot. Aguirre Verde showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dwight Schrute in the 87th minute of the match. In the 94th minute Qiao Ang Le shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aguirre Verde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 95th minute, Lu Xing Song ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aguirre Verde was frozen by the shot and now it was 10-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Pégasus F. C. fully deserved thier win.
