Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. The Grêmio FBPA fans' excitement grew in the 3rd match minute when Grêmio FBPA's Gergely Takács looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. Estrela Vermelha's attentive Wágner Barbosa managed to snatch the ball when Manfredo Pombal made a throw-in in the 8th minute of the game. 10 minutes into the match, Gergely Takács had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Enrique Antunes. Estrela Vermelha's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gergely Takács was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Jâninho Melo took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Enrique Antunes. Enrique Antunes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Gergely Takács took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Enrique Antunes. After some careless play in the Estrela Vermelha defense, Gergely Takács kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Enrique Antunes. The Estrela Vermelha fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Enrique Antunes should have stopped the shot. When Vitinho Quirino fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Estrela Vermelha's protests and gave Vitinho Quirino a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Grêmio FBPA booed when Estrela Vermelha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vitinho Quirino didn't get a good kick on the ball. 27 minutes into the match, Estrela Vermelha's goal looked a bit too open when Serafim Salles came free, but Enrique Antunes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 29th minute Armando Obeko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enrique Antunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 31 minutes of play, Grêmio FBPA's Jâninho Melo made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Enrique Antunes was left in no man's land by his defense there! 38 minutes into the match, Estrela Vermelha's goal looked a bit too open when Armando Obeko came free, but Enrique Antunes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Armando Obeko recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Armando Obeko during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 45 played minutes Grêmio FBPA got a freekick which was hit by Armando Obeko.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ronaldão Oliveira to strike the kick off in the second half. Estrela Vermelha's Enrique Antunes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Estrela Vermelha from getting a goal against them. Enrique Antunes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armando Obeko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 60th minute, Gergely Takács made a precise shot to the right of Enrique Antunes. Estrela Vermelha's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-7. In the 68th minute Gergely Takács shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enrique Antunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 72 minutes into the match, Gergely Takács had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Enrique Antunes. Estrela Vermelha's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gergely Takács was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-8. The crowd rose to their feet as Grêmio FBPA's Serafim Salles slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Enrique Antunes. That made the score 0-9 after 75 minutes of play. If Armando Obeko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Enrique Antunes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gergely Takács in the 83rd minute. A hard shot 86 in the game by Gergely Takács from a close distance when the talented Enrique Antunes managed to make a qualified save. Estrela Vermelha's players were relieved. Enrique Antunes made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Gergely Takács sent off a good shot on target. In the 89th minute Luiz Paulo Marquez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enrique Antunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Enrique Antunes was out of position in the 91 minute of play, and Serafim Salles capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Serafim Salles really showed his touch with that goal: 0-10. When the match was over Grêmio FBPA could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Estrela Vermelha throughout the match.
