A collision led to Grêmio FBPA getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Natã Ramalho hit a great ball. Andréas Linquist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcelo Figueroa in the 28th minute. Elias Barbosa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Andréas Linquist made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gergely Takács in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arnoldo Ramirez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Grêmio FBPA's Gergely Takács in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arnoldo Ramirez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gergely Takács in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arnoldo Ramirez saved Concepcion del Uruguay FC from getting behind. Andréas Linquist was out of position in the 47 minute of play, and Cristobal Donio capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Cristobal Donio really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. Concepcion del Uruguay FC made a substitution. Silvano Aires replaced Remigio Cisco. Concepcion del Uruguay FC's Aquilino Sandaili was substituted for Pol Fernández. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cristobal Donio to make the kick off. 56 minutes into the match, Concepcion del Uruguay FC's goal looked a bit too open when Armando Obeko came free, but Arnoldo Ramirez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 60 minutes into the match, Concepcion del Uruguay FC's goalkeeper Arnoldo Ramirez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gergely Takács. A very good chance. 72 minutes into the match, Concepcion del Uruguay FC's goal looked a bit too open when Armando Obeko came free, but Arnoldo Ramirez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Andréas Linquist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fausto Betadur in the 73rd minute of the match. 75 minutes had been played when some careless play by Grêmio FBPA's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Marcelo Figueroa was slow to take the kick. During this time Concepcion del Uruguay FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Concepcion del Uruguay FC's Elias Barbosa to fire away a dangerous shot which Andréas Linquist despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 76th minute Gergely Takács shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnoldo Ramirez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gergely Takács made in the 84th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Jâninho Melo however managed to control. Gergely Takács sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
