Afonsinho Netto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Tommy Kahn made a huge save. Binsted's 汪伟铮 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Sachs in the 14th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Saleh Mulama in the 17th minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Genaro Txurio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Kahn having to interfere. Frank Sachs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. 汪伟铮 tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Frank Sachs to make the kick off. When Frank Sachs came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Germany fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frank Sachs couldn't finish the play. Germany's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Binsted the free kick. In the 91st minute, one of Germany:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Germany. Binsted's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
