Eskil Vester showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 4th minute of the match. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fellipe Valle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emilio Cascajares in the 7th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Wim Wilmes came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Netherlands fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wim Wilmes couldn't finish the play. If Emilio Cascajares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Eskil Vester showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 13th minute of the match. In the 15th minute of the match Netherlands got a corner. October 04's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran over to the corner to take the kick. Eskil Vester showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 17th minute of the match. Emilio Cascajares might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arnout Reekers. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Emilio Cascajares ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 20th minute Emilio Cascajares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eskil Vester took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eskil Vester didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The supporters of October 04 booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kees Mooiweer didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Netherlands's Kees Mooiweer got a free kick in the 28th minute. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Netherlands from getting a goal against them. 30 minutes had been played when some careless play by Netherlands's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Thorben Grill was slow to take the kick. During this time October 04's players had a chance to rest. In the 33rdth minute of the game Gustaaf Groeneveldt who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but October 04's Eskil Vester was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 35th minute, Luís Paulo Pernambucano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 42 minutes into the match, Netherlands's Lars Meesters sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eskil Vester narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Wim Wilmes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Netherlands's supporters rose to their feet, but Wim Wilmes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eskil Vester breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Gijsbert ter Kruimer made the kick off in the second half. Eskil Vester made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 52nd minute. Eskil Vester showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 57th minute of the match. In the 57th minute Wim Wilmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eskil Vester saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gustaaf Groeneveldt struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Eskil Vester didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Netherlands. Eskil Vester made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wim Wilmes in the 70th minute of play. October 04 made a substitution. Lauro Gaúcho replaced Claudinei Custódio. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 78th minute of play forced October 04's goalkeeper Eskil Vester to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 82nd minute, Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Eskil Vester. Eskil Vester yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. A collision led to October 04 getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Andrey Nazarov hit a great ball. October 04's Eskil Vester played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 89th minute of play. Luís Paulo Pernambucano hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, October 04's Andrey Nazarov got a free kick in the 92nd minute. The October 04 fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Netherlands were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
