Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Timoteo Columbo made the kick off and thus started the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Costica Vladimiri in the 5th minute of play forced Academia 1903's goalkeeper Primo Speranza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Rasvan Cristescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Primo Speranza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adam Olaru, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. In the 16th minute Adam Olaru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Primo Speranza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Romania booed when Academia 1903 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aldo Maju didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Timoteo Columbo got free with Carol Stinga in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Primo Speranza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Costica Vladimiri in the 30th minute of play. Academia 1903's Primo Speranza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rasvan Cristescu in the 32nd minute of play. Vasile Ciumak made in the 35th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Alex Serban. Romania's Rasvan Cristescu got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 39th minute Costica Vladimiri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Primo Speranza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Primo Speranza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adam Olaru, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. 43 minutes into the game, Romania's Rasvan Cristescu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Primo Speranza made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Academia 1903's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Harald Ek in the 48th minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Marco Rincón heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adam Olaru to make the kick off. Primo Speranza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Costica Vladimiri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Academia 1903's Timoteo Columbo got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Academia 1903 made a substitution. Gérard Magyar replaced Harald Ek. Carol Stinga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicanor Morenø, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Nicanor Morenø sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Romania made a substitution. Alexandru Pangratiu replaced Alex Serban. Carol Stinga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicanor Morenø in the 90th minute of play. 92 minutes into the game, Nicanor Morenø cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Carol Stinga was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Primo Speranza was a little too slow when Octavian Vaduva got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 96th minute. The score was now 1-2. Primo Speranza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Octavian Vaduva in the 98th minute of play. Romania played a much better game than Academia 1903 and deserved their victory. The Academia 1903 players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
