Portugal's defense didn't have a chance, in the 3rd minute, when Meder Muños scored to the left of an out of position Wilson Amorim, making the score, 1-0. In the 6th minute, Viriato Moura left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Portugal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Ovidio Roland made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viriato Moura in the 10th minute of play. In the 11th minute of the match Portugal got a corner. Intimos de Reynoso's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Felipe Barreto ran over to the corner to take the kick. Intimos de Reynoso's Meder Muños got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 24 minutes into the game, Intimos de Reynoso's Meder Muños nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wilson Amorim made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. A collision led to Intimos de Reynoso getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Geraldo Güemes hit a great ball. In the 28th minute, Graciano Coutinho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. After 36 minutes of play, Intimos de Reynoso's Meder Muños made it 4-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wilson Amorim was left in no man's land by his defense there! Fabricio Andrade made in the 40th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Intimos de Reynoso's Diego Armando Faso. After a rather tough play, Intimos de Reynoso's Xavian Aquino got a free kick in the 41st minute. Ovidio Roland showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Graciano Coutinho in the 44th minute of the match. A sloppy throw-in by Bruno Bastos in the 47th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Intimos de Reynoso's Diego Armando Faso. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-3.

Portugal's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Diego Armando Faso during the 69th minute. In the 89th minute of the game, Graciano Coutinho landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Geraldo Güemes's late challenge caught a Portugal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Geraldo Güemes helped the player get up and apologised. Ovidio Roland made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipinho Amorim in the 91st minute of play. Intimos de Reynoso's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
