Ivan Drago took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelo Gallardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Per-Olof Karlsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Gavino Afonso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ivan Drago made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcelo Gallardo in the 31st minute. Marcelo Gallardo was extremely unlucky when he, in the 42nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marcelo Gallardo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Per-Olof Karlsson's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Gavino Afonso firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 55th minute, Marcelo Gallardo made a precise shot to the right of Ivan Drago. Lost Boys Sports Academy's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Gavino Afonso didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Lost Boys Sports Academy's Johan Sellberg shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-4 in the ordered_time% minute. Ivan Drago made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Pablo Angel in the 78th minute of play. 84 minutes into the match, Adrogue FC's goal looked a bit too open when Per-Olof Karlsson came free, but Gavino Afonso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Per-Olof Karlsson scored 1-6 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gavino Afonso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With an all-out effort, Lost Boys Sports Academy's Gavino Afonso threw himself towards the right post 92 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Johan Sellberg, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a rather tough play, Adrogue FC's Domingo Leguizamón got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Johan Sellberg took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gavino Afonso. Gavino Afonso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-7. The Lost Boys Sports Academy supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Lost Boys Sports Academy would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
