Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Viriato Moura started the match with the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bruno Bastos during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When the match had been going on for 4 minutes, Qikiqtarjuaq FC's Michael Owen got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Wilson Amorim. A throw-in in the 9th minute of the game was made by Olin Munster with Quinton Marcheterre as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Abel Bueno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felipe Barreto in the 11th minute of the match. If Felipe Barreto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 15 minutes into the match, Qikiqtarjuaq FC's goal looked a bit too open when Felipe Barreto came free, but Abel Bueno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abel Bueno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viriato Moura in the 18th minute of play. 18 minutes into the game, Michael Owen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Qikiqtarjuaq FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Portugal the free kick. After some careless play in the Qikiqtarjuaq FC defense, Felipe Barreto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Abel Bueno. The Qikiqtarjuaq FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Abel Bueno should have stopped the shot. 29 minutes into the match, Qikiqtarjuaq FC's goal looked a bit too open when Felipe Barreto came free, but Abel Bueno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abel Bueno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viriato Moura in the 31st minute of the match. After 35 played minutes Portugal got a freekick which was hit by Faustino Almeida. After a rather tough play, Portugal's Rodolfo Miranda got a free kick in the 42nd minute. In the 47th minute, Caio da Rocha made a precise shot to the right of Wilson Amorim. Portugal's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1.

After having played for 52 minutes, Felipe Barreto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Portugal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felipe Barreto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Qikiqtarjuaq FC's Eugenio Ross managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Daniel Pimentel in the 54 minute of the game. Felipe Barreto's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Abel Bueno firmly grabbed it by the left post. 56 minutes had been played when some careless play by Qikiqtarjuaq FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Felipe Barreto was slow to take the kick. During this time Portugal's players had a chance to rest. Abel Bueno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viriato Moura in the 58th minute of the match. In the 63rd minute Caio da Rocha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Caio da Rocha scored 3-1 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wilson Amorim, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Wilson Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Caio da Rocha in the 69th minute of the match. Portugal's Wilson Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caio da Rocha in the 70th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Qikiqtarjuaq FC's Chong Sheppard got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Wilson Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bastien Aldridge, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Caio da Rocha in the 96th minute of play forced Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Portugal's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
