Wim Wilmes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 2nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 6 minutes of play, Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hugo Orlando Gatti was left in no man's land by his defense there! Netherlands's Arnout Reekers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Netherlands from getting a goal against them. 14 minutes into the match, Abuba Akotonon FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gustaaf Groeneveldt came free, but Hugo Orlando Gatti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. But to his dismay, Gustaaf Groeneveldt quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 17 minutes into the match, Abuba Akotonon FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Hugo Orlando Gatti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 19th minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. Lars Meesters spun around in front of the goal 36 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Abuba Akotonon FC's goal. Hugo Orlando Gatti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 38th minute of the match. Hugo Orlando Gatti didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lars Meesters went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. 44 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Vânderson Barbosa came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was the one to do the kick off. Wim Wilmes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugo Orlando Gatti having to interfere. In the 57thth minute of the game Emiliano Enol who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Netherlands's Arnout Reekers was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Cecilio Tristan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arnout Reekers was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. If Kees Mooiweer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gustaaf Groeneveldt got free with Hugo Orlando Gatti in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Wim Wilmes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Netherlands's Lars Meesters managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Genaro Elivareo in the 82 minute of the game. 84 minutes into the match, Abuba Akotonon FC's goalkeeper Hugo Orlando Gatti had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wim Wilmes. The supporters of Abuba Akotonon FC booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mathijn Doctor didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Genaro Elivareo in the 92nd minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mathijn Doctor during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Netherlands's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
