Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Erik Jilek started the match with the kick off. Dean Verbruggen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Denis Dostal in the 3rd minute of play. The corner led Czech Republic's Erik Jilek to fire away a dangerous shot which Dean Verbruggen despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The corner ended in David Rusil almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but MVV Maastricht's Dean Verbruggen did a great save. Czech Republic's Vavrinec Holub played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maurits Ruben in the 7th minute of play. Czech Republic's Alan Rezek got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gilbert Fleur sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. MVV Maastricht's Ernst van Bommel shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 19th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Vavrinec Holub but with some difficulty. 21 minutes into the match, MVV Maastricht's goal looked a bit too open when Denis Dostal came free, but Dean Verbruggen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 23rd minute Mathijs de Zee suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kvetoslav Janku during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. MVV Maastricht's Vincent Mans was substituted for Mathijs de Zee. In the 24th match minute, Czech Republic was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kvetoslav Janku to maneuver through the defense. After 26 played minutes MVV Maastricht got a freekick which was hit by Gilbert Fleur. 28 minutes into the game, Alan Rezek was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Czech Republic's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave MVV Maastricht the free kick. After 28 played minutes Czech Republic got a freekick which was hit by Alan Rezek. With an all-out effort, MVV Maastricht's Vavrinec Holub threw himself towards the right post 32 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Maurits Ruben, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Vavrinec Holub came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by MVV Maastricht's Gilbert Fleur. But to his dismay, Gilbert Fleur quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Vavrinec Holub didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 40th minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. When the match had gone on for 44 minutes, Maurits Ruben took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Vavrinec Holub to make any attempt to save it. After a defensive mix-up in MVV Maastricht's zone, David Rusil stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dean Verbruggen came out of the goal and David Rusil tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Maarten Colen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Kvetoslav Janku was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 51 minutes had been played. In the 52nd match minute, Czech Republic was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kvetoslav Janku to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Erik Jilek during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Erik Jilek hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Vavrinec Holub didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vincent Mans went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. 58 minutes into the game, John Pothuizen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. MVV Maastricht's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Czech Republic the free kick. The supporters of Czech Republic booed when MVV Maastricht was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. John Pothuizen didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 66th minute Vincent Mans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vavrinec Holub saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to MVV Maastricht getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Vincent Mans hit a great ball. Czech Republic's Vavrinec Holub played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maurits Ruben in the 75th minute of play. The supporters of Czech Republic booed when MVV Maastricht was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maarten Colen didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 78 minutes, Alan Rezek managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Czech Republic's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alan Rezek was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Maurits Ruben sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vavrinec Holub made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maurits Ruben in the 83rd minute of play. In the 86th minute Maurits Ruben shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vavrinec Holub saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Maarten Colen in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vavrinec Holub prevented the ball from getting in the gole. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. MVV Maastricht had played much better football throughout.
