The throw-in from Jakub Kiwior in the 16th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Italy's Siricio Liotta. Pastor Frantzes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zaccheo Andolina's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. After 19 minutes Sajones F.C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Sigfrido Auletta who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Sigfrido Auletta got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Pastor Frantzes quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 22 minutes into the match, Sajones F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Siricio Liotta came free, but Pastor Frantzes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Flavio Vittori showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Giuseppe Preca, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Mo Feng Xiang recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Giuseppe Preca came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Sajones F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Giuseppe Preca couldn't finish the play. Flavio Vittori made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Cesar Quinto sent off a good shot on target. In the 43rd minute of the match Sajones F.C. got a corner. Italy's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mo Feng Xiang ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Mo Feng Xiang got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Flavio Vittori quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zaccheo Andolina stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Pastor Frantzes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sigfrido Auletta in the 51st minute of play. In the 54th minute, Sigfrido Auletta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giuseppe Preca in the 56th minute of play forced Italy's goalkeeper Flavio Vittori to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Siricio Liotta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 67 minutes of play, Sajones F.C.'s Cesar Quinto made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Flavio Vittori was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jakub Kiwior kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Jakub Kiwior made in the 76th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Conrad Airpoel however managed to control. 77 minutes into the match, Italy's goal looked a bit too open when Giuseppe Preca came free, but Flavio Vittori reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sajones F.C.'s Pastor Frantzes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sigfrido Auletta in the 78th minute of play. Roger Junior blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Flavio Vittori having to make a save. In the 83rdth minute of the game Cesar Quinto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Italy's Flavio Vittori was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zaccheo Andolina in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pastor Frantzes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Italy's Zaccheo Andolina was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 85th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Italy's Guiscardo Davide was substituted for Sigfrido Auletta. Jakub Kiwior made in the 93rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Italy's Siricio Liotta. 97 minutes had been played when some careless play by Sajones F.C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Siricio Liotta was slow to take the kick. During this time Italy's players had a chance to rest. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
