Edmond Verdun stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gilberto Izel's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. The supporters of Errecaborda AFC booed when La Scaloneta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Freddy Cidro didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilberto Izel in the 35th minute of play forced Errecaborda AFC's goalkeeper Edmond Verdun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pastor Ado got free with Franco Moscatelli in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gilberto Izel might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edmond Verdun. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. With his leg Franco Moscatelli managed to avoid a goal in the 88thth minute, when Errecaborda AFC's Emílio Terra fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Errecaborda AFC's Emílio Terra was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 88th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. The La Scaloneta fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Errecaborda AFC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
