Errecaborda AFC's Edmond Verdun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Braga in the 13th minute of play. After some careless play in the VB-Team defense, Prospero Jerardo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Avelino Cunha. The VB-Team fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Avelino Cunha should have stopped the shot. After 20 played minutes Errecaborda AFC got a freekick which was hit by Prospero Jerardo. When VB-Team's Gervásio Severiano in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Errecaborda AFC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 26th minute, Emílio Terra reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Avelino Cunha. The goal made the score 2-0. Avelino Cunha was out of position in the 29 minute of play, and Emílio Terra capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Emílio Terra really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. Emílio Terra did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 4-0 to the left of a surprised Avelino Cunha 34 minutes into the match. 40 minutes into the match, VB-Team's goal looked a bit too open when Emílio Terra came free, but Avelino Cunha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 41 minutes VB-Team's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Emílio Terra who took care of the corner kick. A collision led to Errecaborda AFC getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Pastor Ado hit a great ball. Edmond Verdun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gervásio Severiano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Joe Tate had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 46 played minutes Errecaborda AFC got a freekick which was hit by Pastor Ado. Joaquim de Barros succeeded in the game's 47th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 4-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Joe Tate made the kick off in the second half. Luís Braga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 58 minutes into the game, Mauro Rameriz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Avelino Cunha was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 64 minutes into the game, Errecaborda AFC's Prospero Jerardo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Avelino Cunha made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-1. VB-Team were awarded a corner in the 70th minute after Errecaborda AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luís Braga took the corner. VB-Team's Luís Braga was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Edmond Verdun in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luís Caeiro got free with Edmond Verdun in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Emílio Terra scored 7-1 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Avelino Cunha, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Avelino Cunha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pastor Ado, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. With a little luck, Errecaborda AFC's Edmond Verdun got control of the ball when Luís Caeiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gervásio Severiano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edmond Verdun having to make a save. Avelino Cunha dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 9-1. Avelino Cunha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emílio Terra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Errecaborda AFC fully deserved thier win.
