Tommy Kahn dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. 20 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Yavuzalp Mesut came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Yavuzalp Mesut in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tommy Kahn prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 33 minutes in the game, Cemal Özgun fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Tommy Kahn having to interfere. The Last Airbender's Cemal Özgun got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 37th minute of the match, Cemal Özgun tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Tommy Kahn saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Albin Holweck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 48 minutes into the match, The Last Airbender's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Sachs came free, but Raimond Aumann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Frank Sachs got free with Raimond Aumann in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Germany's zone, Yavuzalp Mesut stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tommy Kahn came out of the goal and Yavuzalp Mesut tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of The Last Airbender booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrian Dreifuss didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Last Airbender's Mikail Savgat was substituted for Yavuzalp Mesut. The Last Airbender made a substitution. Bilge Horasanlı replaced Ferman Sıraç. The Last Airbender's Güntekin Uskan was substituted for Cemal Özgun. In the 77th minute, Adrian Dreifuss hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
