When the match clock showed 24 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Gijsbert ter Kruimer sped through ★ Xavi ★【№ 6】⚽ Legend's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jaroslaw Czysty. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 28th minute of play forced ★ Xavi ★【№ 6】⚽ Legend's goalkeeper Jaroslaw Czysty to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. ★ Xavi ★【№ 6】⚽ Legend's Jaroslaw Czysty played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wim Wilmes in the 28th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wim Wilmes in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jaroslaw Czysty prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Marcelino Orlondo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Arnout Reekers having to make a save. Arnout Reekers made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Marcelino Orlondo sent off a good shot on target. 32 minutes into the match, ★ Xavi ★【№ 6】⚽ Legend's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Jaroslaw Czysty reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Marcelino Orlondo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 40th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaroslaw Czysty saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the last second Arnout Reekers throw himself and got hold of the ball when Marcelino Orlondo in the 43rdth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. With a little luck, Netherlands's Arnout Reekers got control of the ball when Marcelino Orlondo tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 45 minutes, Rudy Quinnell mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ★ Xavi ★【№ 6】⚽ Legend and the Netherlands players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Jaroslaw Czysty tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 68th minute, Kees Mooiweer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jaroslaw Czysty showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 72nd minute of the match. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kim Van den Haute, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Netherlands's David Eikelkamp got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jaroslaw Czysty made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 86th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wim Wilmes got free with Jaroslaw Czysty in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Netherlands booed when ★ Xavi ★【№ 6】⚽ Legend was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kim Van den Haute didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Kim Van den Haute's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arnout Reekers was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Netherlands players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
