Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Zaccheo Andolina made the kick off which started today's match. Erwin Huygens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 4th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zaccheo Andolina in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Erwin Huygens prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 8 minutes into the match, Velez Sarsfield's Augusto Cordario sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Flavio Vittori narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 11 played minutes Velez Sarsfield got a freekick which was hit by Marcos Pacifico. The audience thought a goal was coming when Augusto Cordario got free with Flavio Vittori in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A throw-in in the 15th minute of the game was made by Arnoldo Mel with Filomeno Montrell as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Deodato Magliozzi made in the 16th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Velez Sarsfield's Ando Averin. If Filomeno Montrell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Augusto Cordario's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Flavio Vittori firmly grabbed it by the left post. Erwin Huygens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sigfrido Auletta in the 23rd minute of play. In the 25th minute, Velez Sarsfield's Augusto Cordario dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 29th minute of the game Deodato Magliozzi made a throw-in which Sigfrido Auletta played forward. Sigfrido Auletta hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Erwin Huygens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Italy's Flavio Vittori proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Italy from getting a goal against them. Zaccheo Andolina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Velez Sarsfield's Erwin Huygens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 37th minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, Velez Sarsfield's goal looked a bit too open when Zaccheo Andolina came free, but Erwin Huygens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 43rd minute, Augusto Cordario got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Zaccheo Andolina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Erwin Huygens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Augusto Cordario stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Porziano Marchitelli struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Erwin Huygens didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Italy. When Arnoldo Mel fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Velez Sarsfield's protests and gave Arnoldo Mel a yellow card for diving instead. Arnoldo Mel kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Augusto Cordario recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Velez Sarsfield made a substitution. Leandro Berti replaced Ignacio Berenguer. With a little luck, Velez Sarsfield's Erwin Huygens got control of the ball when Sigfrido Auletta tried to sneak it across the goal line. Velez Sarsfield's Erwin Huygens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 74th minute of play. In the 75th minute, Leandro Berti hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Velez Sarsfield made a substitution. Yiyo Bernal replaced Marcos Pacifico. The referee ignored Italy's protests and gave Gomberto Picozzi a yellow card for diving instead. Italy's Sansone Vanella was substituted for Gianpaolo Mascari. Italy made a substitution. Guiscardo Davide replaced Sigfrido Auletta. 92 minutes into the game, one of Italy:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Flavio Vittori had in the 95thth minute some difficulties stopping Yiyo Bernal's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After having played for 96 minutes, Augusto Cordario managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Velez Sarsfield's supporters crossed their fingers, but Augusto Cordario was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
