In the 12th minute Nestor Gaxan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Seyhan Atlıhan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Characate FC booed when Ozanköy u21 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Derya Mengüalp didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Characate FC's Leopoldo Afonso slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Seyhan Atlıhan. That made the score 1-3 after 55 minutes of play. 62 minutes into the match, Ozanköy u21's goalkeeper Seyhan Atlıhan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gerardo Santikurtz. Characate FC were awarded a corner in the 63th minute after Ozanköy u21's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Emre Can took the corner. After taking down the ball on Characate FC's corner Nestor Gaxan fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Seyhan Atlıhan quite easily take care of the ball. Ren Xi Chen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Osvaldo Daunte read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. In the 84th minute Leopoldo Afonso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Seyhan Atlıhan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anders Eriksson's late challenge caught a Characate FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anders Eriksson helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Ozanköy u21 getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Anders Eriksson hit a great ball. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 91st minute, but Seyhan Atlıhan got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Ozanköy u21 hanging dry this time. The Ozanköy u21 fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Characate FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
