Italy's Zaccheo Andolina started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Porziano Marchitelli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Roberto Bonano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roberto Bonano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 14th minute of the match. When Italy's Zaccheo Andolina, in the 14th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Italy. Roberto Bonano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 16th minute of the match. In the 16th minute Zaccheo Andolina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roberto Bonano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Italy's Flavio Vittori proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Italy from getting a goal against them. Nunez Oroitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flavio Vittori having to interfere. In the 45th minute, Albino Jeraldo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Flavio Vittori made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carolo Jerardo in the 47th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After 51 played minutes Deportivo Pergamino got a freekick which was hit by Gustavo Che. Roberto Bonano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Siricio Liotta in the 59th minute of play. Italy's attentive Sigfrido Auletta managed to snatch the ball when Gustavo Che made a throw-in in the 70th minute of the game. Italy's Siricio Liotta quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Gustavo Che, made in the 72nd minute of the game. Roberto Bonano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zaccheo Andolina's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. If Siricio Liotta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roberto Bonano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Siricio Liotta in the 79th minute of play. After 80 minutes Deportivo Pergamino's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Sigfrido Auletta who took care of the corner kick. Siricio Liotta was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Flavio Vittori showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rolando Cidro in the 83rd minute of the match.
