Orlando Loyola kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Gerson Rezende received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Tommy Kahn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Frank Sachs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA fans' excitement grew in the 11th match minute when INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's Mai Chuan looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mai Chuan in the 14th minute of play. A collision led to INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Nilmar de Souza hit a great ball. When Nilmar de Souza came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nilmar de Souza couldn't finish the play. 23 minutes into the game, Franklin Velloso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Germany the free kick. After a rather tough play, INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's Franklin Velloso got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Ezio Gøls short, quick shot in the 26thth minute got Tommy Kahn to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A throw-in in the 35th minute of the game was made by Marek Lodowy with Rafinha de Brito as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 37th minute Albin Holweck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Carlos Lucas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Albin Holweck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 42 minutes of play, INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's Gerson Rezende made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tommy Kahn was left in no man's land by his defense there! Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ezio Gøl to make the kick off. Tommy Kahn stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mai Chuan's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. João Carlos Lucas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albin Holweck in the 55th minute of play. If Ezio Gøl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Germany defense, Nilmar de Souza kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tommy Kahn. The Germany fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tommy Kahn should have stopped the shot. 74 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Nilmar de Souza came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rafinha de Brito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Tommy Kahn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA made a substitution. Lucas Head Son replaced Ezio Gøl. In the 84thth minute of the game Lucas Head Son who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Germany's Tommy Kahn was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Germany getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Adrian Dreifuss hit a great ball. After 91 minutes, Lucas Head Son made it 4-1 with a short kick to the right side. Germany's Tommy Kahn tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Germany for a fine match.
