Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Don Merlot kicked off to start the match. Edward Vanderstraeten's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Timo Courtois read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. In the 7th minute Edward Vanderstraeten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Timo Courtois saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stephane Bosch hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Edward Vanderstraeten's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Timo Courtois read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. Alberigo Sessa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Casper Claes having to interfere. Timo Courtois took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edward Vanderstraeten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 16 minutes into the match, SSV Ulm 1846's goal looked a bit too open when Edward Vanderstraeten came free, but Timo Courtois reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Edward Vanderstraeten's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Timo Courtois was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. A collision led to Belgium getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Edward Vanderstraeten hit a great ball. In the 22nd minute of the match, Alberigo Sessa tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Casper Claes saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Casper Claes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Don Merlot, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Edward Vanderstraeten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Edward Vanderstraeten received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Timo Courtois tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Casper Claes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberigo Sessa in the 29th minute of play. In the 33rd minute of the match Belgium got a corner. SSV Ulm 1846's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Edward Vanderstraeten ran over to the corner to take the kick. Lenny Clocheret was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Timo Courtois didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edward Vanderstraeten went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Belgium's Lenny Clocheret got a free kick in the 41st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Belgium's zone, Alberigo Sessa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Casper Claes came out of the goal and Alberigo Sessa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 46th minute, Edward Vanderstraeten got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice moves Don Merlot could shoot a difficult shot in the 47th minute, which Casper Claes however easily saved by the left post. The SSV Ulm 1846 players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Belgium were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edward Vanderstraeten to make the kick off. Edward Vanderstraeten could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Timo Courtois made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberigo Sessa in the 54th minute of play forced Belgium's goalkeeper Casper Claes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 63rd minute Alberigo Sessa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Casper Claes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Casper Claes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Don Merlot in the 69th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the match, Belgium's goal looked a bit too open when Alberigo Sessa came free, but Casper Claes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alex Kopf hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Timo Courtois came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten. But to his dismay, Edward Vanderstraeten quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. In the 80th match minute, SSV Ulm 1846 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sotiris Alexandropoulos to maneuver through the defense. Edward Vanderstraeten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Timo Courtois made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Edward Vanderstraeten sent off a good shot on target. In the 86th minute, Edward Vanderstraeten reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Timo Courtois. The goal made the score 1-3. Stephane Bosch was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 89 minutes into the match. 89 minutes into the game, one of SSV Ulm 1846:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. SSV Ulm 1846:s Timo Courtois showed great skill when he stopped Edward Vanderstraeten:s penalty. Belgium's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
