An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 3rd minute of play forced HOSATO★★★★★VKRT's goalkeeper Junior Soprano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 3rd minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Netherlands fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 9 minutes into the match, HOSATO★★★★★VKRT's goal looked a bit too open when Wim Wilmes came free, but Junior Soprano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 11 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Egbert Nijveldt. Cesinha Teixeira took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arnout Reekers. Arnout Reekers dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Junior Soprano came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer. But to his dismay, Gijsbert ter Kruimer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Junior Soprano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wim Wilmes in the 24th minute of play. 25 minutes had been played when some careless play by HOSATO★★★★★VKRT's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was slow to take the kick. During this time Netherlands's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Egbert Nijveldt got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Junior Soprano quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Junior Soprano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 27th minute of play. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronaldo Salah, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. After a rather tough play, Netherlands's Egbert Nijveldt got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Junior Soprano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. In the 43rd minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronaldo Salah in the 45th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Netherlands defense, Luisinho Barral kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arnout Reekers. The Netherlands fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arnout Reekers should have stopped the shot. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gijsbert ter Kruimer made a kick off. Adhemar Peixoto hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. After 54 minutes of play, HOSATO★★★★★VKRT's Cesinha Teixeira made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arnout Reekers was left in no man's land by his defense there! With an all-out effort, Netherlands's Junior Soprano threw himself towards the right post 57 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 60th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer made a precise shot to the right of Junior Soprano. HOSATO★★★★★VKRT's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-3. HOSATO★★★★★VKRT's Edu Pereira was substituted for Adhemar Peixoto. HOSATO★★★★★VKRT made a substitution. Betão de Alcântara replaced Luisinho Barral. With a little luck, HOSATO★★★★★VKRT's Junior Soprano got control of the ball when Gijsbert ter Kruimer tried to sneak it across the goal line. Wim Wilmes took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Junior Soprano. Junior Soprano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-4. Gijsbert ter Kruimer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Junior Soprano having to interfere. Junior Soprano made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent off a good shot on target. 73 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Ronaldo Salah came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronaldo Salah, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 80th match minute, HOSATO★★★★★VKRT was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kauã Galvan to maneuver through the defense. Cesinha Teixeira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Wim Wilmes came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Netherlands fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wim Wilmes couldn't finish the play. Lars Meesters sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. HOSATO★★★★★VKRT's Junior Soprano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save HOSATO★★★★★VKRT from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, HOSATO★★★★★VKRT's Rafinha Silveira got a free kick in the 96th minute. The Netherlands supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Netherlands would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
