Curiphila Eagles's Kjell Sjöö played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emiliano Furia in the 11th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Dennis Bergkamp's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kjell Sjöö was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Manfred Konradsson made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Dennis Bergkamp ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kjell Sjöö was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. George Wiklund made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Erik Vihonský sent off a good shot on target. Kjell Sjöö showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dennis Bergkamp, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ettore Petroni in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kjell Sjöö saved Curiphila Eagles from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Téo Vianna during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Lemel SV fans cheered their team off the field, for while Curiphila Eagles had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
