Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Antal Valentin started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Fodor Daniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlisle Fenwick in the 3rd minute of play. After 4 played minutes Boroondara Milan got a freekick which was hit by Benny Atkin. If Major Barna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antal Valentin in the 7th minute of play forced Boroondara Milan's goalkeeper Martyon Diehl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner ended in Antal Valentin almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Boroondara Milan's Martyon Diehl did a great save. Martyon Diehl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antal Valentin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 13th minute Major Barna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martyon Diehl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 16 minutes into the game, one of Boroondara Milan:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Antal Valentin placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Hungary's Fodor Daniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paco Everett in the 19th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Boroondara Milan's zone, Antal Valentin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martyon Diehl came out of the goal and Antal Valentin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Major Barna struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Martyon Diehl didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hungary. If Major Barna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 32nd minute, Antal Valentin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hungary fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. When Major Barna came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Hungary fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Major Barna couldn't finish the play. In the 38th minute Balazs Lajos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martyon Diehl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 41st minute, Hungary's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Paco Everett fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 45th minute Antal Valentin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martyon Diehl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 48thth minute of the game Carlisle Fenwick who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hungary's Fodor Daniel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Carlisle Fenwick made a kick off. When Boroondara Milan's Carlisle Fenwick in the 57th minute got a chance for a shot 57th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hungary's goalie prevented a goal. Antal Valentin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bakos Endre hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. After 62 minutes, Jason Sperling mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Boroondara Milan and the Hungary players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Hungary booed when Boroondara Milan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jason Sperling didn't get a good kick on the ball. Boroondara Milan's Martyon Diehl proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Boroondara Milan from getting a goal against them. Martyon Diehl made an important save on a dangerous shot by Antal Valentin in the 70th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Takacs Tibor in the 70th minute of play forced Boroondara Milan's goalkeeper Martyon Diehl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Takacs Tibor was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Hungary's Antal Valentin got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Antal Valentin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Martyon Diehl made a huge save. 77 minutes had been played when some careless play by Boroondara Milan's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Antal Valentin was slow to take the kick. During this time Hungary's players had a chance to rest. Benny Atkin hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. If Antal Valentin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Fodor Daniel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlisle Fenwick in the 84th minute of the match. In the 89th minute, Benny Atkin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Major Barna got free with Martyon Diehl in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Hungary booed when Boroondara Milan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jason Sperling didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Major Barna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle sounded Hungary left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Boroondara Milan.
