After 25 minutes of play, AntuFB's Remigio Gomez made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Remigio Gomez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After taking down the ball on AntuFB's corner Yusuf Bahadır Kunt fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Tommy Kahn quite easily take care of the ball. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Frank Sachs to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albin Holweck in the 56th minute of play forced AntuFB's goalkeeper Fernandinho Muslera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 58 minutes, Frank Sachs managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Germany's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frank Sachs was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Ahmet Sedat Özerdinc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Frank Sachs came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Germany fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frank Sachs couldn't finish the play. In the 77th minute, Kıvanç Şen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. During the 80th minute of the match Kıvanç Şen completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Kıvanç Şen a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game.
