Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Claudio Patricelli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lars Meesters in the 3rd minute of play. When Gustaaf Groeneveldt came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Netherlands fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gustaaf Groeneveldt couldn't finish the play. In the 13th minute Fred Guihard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Claudio Patricelli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 14th minute of play. Claudio Patricelli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wim Wilmes in the 18th minute of play. Claudio Patricelli came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Netherlands's Wim Wilmes. But to his dismay, Wim Wilmes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After some careless play in the Balla 1926 fc defense, Gijsbert ter Kruimer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Claudio Patricelli. The Balla 1926 fc fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Claudio Patricelli should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. David Eikelkamp hit a great ball. In the 31st minute of the match, Fred Guihard tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Arnout Reekers saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 32 minutes into the match, Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Claudio Patricelli narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Balla 1926 fc's goalkeeper Claudio Patricelli, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 33 minutes into the match, Wim Wilmes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Claudio Patricelli. Balla 1926 fc's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wim Wilmes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Claudio Patricelli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lars Meesters, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. 39 minutes into the match, Balla 1926 fc's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Claudio Patricelli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Claudio Patricelli came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer. But to his dismay, Gijsbert ter Kruimer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Arnout Reekers made an important save on a dangerous shot by Narciso Hori in the 44th minute. The Balla 1926 fc players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Netherlands were winning 0-4.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Geirhvatur Ómarsson made a kick off. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geirhvatur Ómarsson in the 53rd minute of play. Geirhvatur Ómarsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 57th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudio Patricelli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 57th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Claudio Patricelli was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fred Guihard, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. After 68 played minutes Balla 1926 fc got a freekick which was hit by Anthony Serantoni. Claudio Patricelli made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent off a good shot on target. Netherlands's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 77th minute. Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Claudio Patricelli in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Wim Wilmes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Radoslaw Debowski's late challenge caught a Netherlands's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Radoslaw Debowski helped the player get up and apologised. The long shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 83rd minute really tested Claudio Patricelli's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. When Narciso Hori fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Balla 1926 fc's protests and gave Narciso Hori a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Netherlands booed when Balla 1926 fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Narciso Hori didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Balla 1926 fc's Claudio Patricelli got control of the ball when Gijsbert ter Kruimer tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Gijsbert ter Kruimer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Claudio Patricelli was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. Balla 1926 fc's attentive Botond Tulipán managed to snatch the ball when Gust Ennemans made a throw-in in the 94th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Balla 1926 fc's Radoslaw Debowski got a free kick in the 95th minute. Balla 1926 fc's Claudio Patricelli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 96th minute of play. 97 minutes had been played when some careless play by Balla 1926 fc's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was slow to take the kick. During this time Netherlands's players had a chance to rest. Netherlands's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
