Los Trip's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Spain the free kick. In the 77th minute, Jacinto Frasquito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 79 played minutes Los Trip got a freekick which was hit by Jacinto Frasquito. Gabriel Ascaso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Fernando Calderón De La Barca in the 86th minute of play. If Pau Herrero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Agustín Rossi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sergio Ruiz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Spain's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
