A nice corner shot did that Hegedus Henrik got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Takis Koutsos quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 19 minutes into the match, Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Doru Lițu. Hungary's Fodor Daniel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Hungary from getting a goal against them. Doru Lițus short, quick shot in the 48thth minute got Fodor Daniel to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Antal Valentin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Denis Rondou was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The Beatles's Frederico Messias was substituted for Reinaldo Trancoso. The Beatles's Zeca Brodel was substituted for Doru Lițu. Takis Koutsos made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Balazs Lajos sent off a good shot on target. If Major Barna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Róbson Simões during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 87th match minute, The Beatles was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Róbson Simões to maneuver through the defense. In the 93rd minute Frederico Messias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fodor Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The corner ended in Antal Valentin almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but The Beatles's Takis Koutsos did a great save. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
