Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Gijsbert ter Kruimer kicked off to start the match. Gijsbert ter Kruimer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Takis Koutsos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evert Österlund, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Gijsbert ter Kruimer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Takis Koutsos having to interfere. Wim Wilmes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Takis Koutsos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Róbson Simões came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Takis Koutsos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 21st minute of the match. Róbson Simões recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Reinaldo Trancoso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Arnout Reekers made a huge save. In the 30th minute, Reinaldo Trancoso reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Arnout Reekers. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 33rd minute, Wim Wilmes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Elder Santos fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored The Beatles's protests and gave Elder Santos a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 40th minute of the game. One of The Beatles:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Netherlands:s goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Doru Lițu to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Netherlands booed when The Beatles was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Róbson Simões didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Doru Lițu came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the The Beatles fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Doru Lițu couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Róbson Simões in the 56th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Beatles's Takis Koutsos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save The Beatles from getting a goal against them. In the 67th minute Róbson Simões shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to The Beatles getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Raio Piiroja hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lars Meesters in the 75th minute of play forced The Beatles's goalkeeper Takis Koutsos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wim Wilmes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Takis Koutsos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 89th minute Netherlands were awarded a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer went to the cornerflag to take it. Egbert Nijveldt was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Egbert Nijveldt during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Egbert Nijveldt hit a great ball. In the 95thth minute of the game Wim Wilmes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but The Beatles's Takis Koutsos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The The Beatles supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Netherlands's performance. The match ended with a win for Netherlands.
