Davut Altınpınar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edward Vanderstraeten, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Casper Claes made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Arí Furtado sent off a good shot on target. In the 24th minute, Edward Vanderstraeten left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Belgium fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 26 minutes into the game, Sílvio Luiz Vieira threw the ball into play from the sideline. Belgium's Lenny Clocheret quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 27 minutes into the game, Cenk Bostancı was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Belgium the free kick. Cenk Bostancı kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Casper Claes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zbigniew Zatorski in the 29th minute of play. Zbigniew Zatorski had several of the Belgium's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 29 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Casper Claes as he didn't even see the shot coming. Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Arí Furtado in the 33rd minute. Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s Arí Furtado was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Casper Claes in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. If Edward Vanderstraeten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Casper Claes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zbigniew Zatorski in the 46th minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Edward Vanderstraeten made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s goalkeeper Davut Altınpınar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edward Vanderstraeten. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zbigniew Zatorski in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Casper Claes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- made a substitution. Ash Duxbury replaced Arí Furtado. The throw-in from Cenk Bostancı in the 58th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Belgium's Guillaume Bonte. In the 62nd minute, Zbigniew Zatorski left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Casper Claes came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s Zbigniew Zatorski. But to his dismay, Zbigniew Zatorski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Yves Dervaux sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Casper Claes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kristofer Peck, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Edward Vanderstraeten could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Davut Altınpınar made a huge save.
