Gabriel Ascaso was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Walter Giardino showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 8 minute of play. tHe SOnS of rAGnar's José Sá played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Omar Toledo in the 11th minute of play. In the 15th minute Telis Ntasios shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabriel Ascaso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Walter Giardino got free with Gabriel Ascaso in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Telis Ntasios during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gabriel Ascaso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Telis Ntasios, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. The corner ended in Giannis Papoutsakis almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Spain's Gabriel Ascaso did a great save. Walter Giardino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Ascaso having to interfere. Alexis Alexandris's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gabriel Ascaso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. José Sá made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adria Bielsa in the 34th minute of play. Spain were awarded a corner in the 35th minute after tHe SOnS of rAGnar's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Omar Toledo took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Omar Toledo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this José Sá quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 46th minute, Omar Toledo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Spain fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Walter Giardino to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, tHe SOnS of rAGnar's Giannis Papoutsakis got a free kick in the 51st minute. The supporters of Spain booed when tHe SOnS of rAGnar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Walter Giardino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gabriel Ascaso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Walter Giardino in the 66th minute of play. tHe SOnS of rAGnar's José Sá proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save tHe SOnS of rAGnar from getting a goal against them. tHe SOnS of rAGnar made a substitution. Kosmas Salaminiotis replaced Grigoris Kornaros. David Aranda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Sá having to interfere. 84 minutes into the match, tHe SOnS of rAGnar's goal looked a bit too open when Sergio Ruiz came free, but José Sá reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
